On Thursday, gold prices fell about 0.48%, failing to keep the $3,300 mark, which had previously reached a two-week high of $3,345. The strong dollar puts pressure on gold as U.S. Treasury yields fell from daily highs and the House approved Trump's budget, which will now be submitted to the Senate for approval. Gold/USD traded at $3289, down 0.83%.

Therefore, the first resistance for gold/USD is $3300, followed by $3345, the current weekly high. Once a breakthrough is made, $3400 will be the next target, and after further strength, the May 7 high of $3438 will be the next target.
For bearish reversals, gold shorts must achieve a daily closing of less than $3,300. Once broken, the immediate support level appears at the daily low of $3204 on May 20, followed by the 50-day simple moving average (SMA) $3191.
